AutoTRUST 4th Plenary Meeting Highlights Progress on Inclusive Mobility Solutions

Nicosia, Cyprus | 13–14 October 2025 – Nicosia Public Transport participated in the 4th Plenary Meeting of the AutoTRUST project, hosted by the University of Cyprus in Nicosia, bringing together project partners to review progress, share developments, and coordinate the next steps of the project.

Over two productive days, consortium members exchanged updates on ongoing activities and discussed the advancement of innovative technologies designed to improve accessibility, safety, security, and user experience in automated and public transport services.

A key highlight of the meeting was the live demonstration of innovative solutions developed by Centre for Research & Technology Hellas (CERTH) and the University of Cyprus (UCY), showcased using one of NPT's minibuses operating within the pilot Demand Responsive Transport (DRT) service.

NPT plays an active role in the AutoTRUST Cyprus pilot, contributing to the testing and validation of solutions designed to enhance accessibility, safety, security, and overall well-being for passengers with disabilities and diverse mobility needs. In parallel, the project is extending its impact through the Pame Express Park & Ride service, where innovative solutions will be introduced to improve passenger comfort, health, and overall journey quality.

AutoTRUST enables Cyprus Public Transport to contribute to the development of innovative, passenger-centred transport solutions. Working closely with Cypriot and European partners, CPT supports the creation of smarter, safer, and more accessible public transport services that enhance everyday mobility, improve the passenger experience, and contribute to the advancement of sustainable transport across Cyprus and beyond.
