Telematics Technician

The Role

As a Telematics Technician, you will be required to work with specific electronic components to detect troubleshoot and solve technical issues on the bus.

 

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

•    Providing hands-on support and maintenance for various components onboard buses, such as telematics systems, GPS trackers, vehicle diagnostics systems, and passenger information systems.
•    Ensuring the efficient and effective use of the bus fleet and drivers by monitoring telematics data, analyzing vehicle performance metrics, and identifying opportunities for optimization.
•    Responding promptly and accurately report any technical issues or problems that may occur with telematics systems, including hardware, software, connectivity, or data transmission issues.
•    Conducting regular inspections and diagnostics to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to telematics systems, working closely with internal teams or external vendors if needed.
•    Monitoring telematics data and generating reports on bus performance, including fuel consumption, mileage, driver behavior, and other key metrics to support decision-making and operational efficiency.
•    Assisting in the implementation and configuration of telematics systems, ensuring accurate installation, setup, and integration with other operational systems.
•    Following safety protocols and guidelines while working on buses, ensuring the safety of yourself and others during installation, maintenance, and repair activities.

The role will involve working in shifts including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.


Requirements:

•    Secondary level of education.
•    Excellent knowledge of Greek or English language (verbal & written).
•    Organizational skills and ability to communicate effectively.
•    A positive, energetic attitude with the ability to find solutions to occurring problems.
•    Eagerness for continuous learning.
•    Be assertive and able to deal with difficult situations.
•    Be flexible and adaptable in a changing environment.
