The Role

The Junior Data Engineer will design, develop, and maintain robust data infrastructure and systems to integrate data from various sources, create and manage data architectures aligned with business requirements, develop data models and pipelines for processing and analysis, ensure data quality and governance, automate tasks for improved efficiency, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver effective data solutions.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

 • Collecting, managing, and converting raw data from all company departments.
• Collect data from different sources, create and maintain data architectures aligned with business requirements.
• Assisting with the development of data models and pipelines for research and reporting.
• Keeping the data accessible and updated while maintaining data quality.
• Automate tasks where manual participation can be eliminated.
• Identify bugs or performance issues.

Qualifications and Experience

 • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or related discipline is a must-have requirement.
• 1-year experience in a similar position will be considered as an asset.
• Familiarity in building or maintaining ETL processes, SQL, database architecture, Python, and data visualization tools.
• Experience with Pentaho Data Integration.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Package.
• Proficient use of English, both verbally and in writing. Knowledge of Greek and/or Spanish languages will be considered an asset.
• Excellent administrative skills.
• Proficient problem-solving and self-learning skills.
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• Ability to work accurately, with attention to detail.
